Airport Sliač Ltd. provides civil air transportation from/to airport since 16th June 2011. From this date, the airport launched a summer charter season which appears to be very successful especially in terms of passenger numbers and departures/arrivals at the airport Sliač. (more)

International slovak air show has ended succesfully

International air show SIAF 2011 has ended very succesfully. The largest air event in Slovakia took place from Saturday 27th to Sunday 28th August 2011 on Sliač Airport. (more)

The airport is again the scene of AIR DAYS on Sliač. The biggest event of its kind in Slovakia, Slovak International Air Fest (SIAF) is scheduled on 27th and 28th August 2011. Airport Sliač welcomed Czech president Václav Klaus and his wife in county of Banska Bystrica

Czech President Václav Klaus and his wife landed on 28th June 2011 in the morning at the airport Sliač. Their path has directed from Bratislava to Banska Bystrica, because the Czech couple, in their own words, trying to stay not only in Bratislava, but also will travel to each one of the Slovak regions. After a two-year break in the civil air service was at the airport Sliač on 16th June 2011 in the early hours operated 1st Civil charter flight fliying to Bulgaria (Bourgas). (more)

At the airport Sliač was on Friday 27th May 2011 organized a public event designed especially for children. Under the auspices of the Armed Forces was on the apron made static, but also dynamic tour of the various activities related to aviation - show of the commercial aircrafts, helicopters, military aircrafts, also demonstration of specific police vehicles. a very interesting simulation of a terrorist attack or fire intervention - was accompanied by an explanation and pedagogic commentary from the podium, where has been later on presented folklore ensembles from the Sliač area.
